You will play an integral part of the technical team using your knowledge as a food technologist to contribute to the development of new and innovative products for the chilled and frozen food market. Once the concept development has been completed it will be your responsibility to see the products through to a successful and timely launch.
Main Duties:
1. Liaise with all relevant departments throughout the development and launch process
2. Be involved in sourcing new raw materials and advising on nutritional values and suitability for the new product.
3. Develop new value adding products for all clients and potential clients from kitchen scale where appropriate.
4. Write specifications, organise nutritional testing and nutritional labelling
5. Coordinate and attend product trials
6. Co-ordinate sign off for all product artwork
7. Coordinate and attend product launches
8. Product presentations to clients
9. Blue sky development tasting panels and competitor tasting panels
10. Reviewing the market and keeping up to date with current food trends and issues
11. Compile costing information
12. Generate product labelling including: description, nutritional information, allergens and ingredients in accordance with current legislation
