How the role will make an impact:



We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced NPI Engineer with a strong specialism in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools and techniques. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving the development and introduction of new products, ensuring that best practices in New Product Development (NPD) are implemented effectively across projects. This position requires a proactive individual who can work independently and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational success.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:



Lead the NPI process from concept through to production, ensuring adherence to APQP methodologies. Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop and implement project plans, timelines, and deliverables. Utilize APQP tools such as Process Flow Diagrams, FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP and Gantt Charts to ensure robust product development. Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation strategies throughout the NPI process. Facilitate Design Reviews and ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards. Validate manufacturing processes to ensure they are capable of producing products that meet quality specifications consistently. Drive continuous improvement activities, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing best practices in NPD processes. Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding progress, challenges, and solutions. Conduct training and mentorship for team members on APQP tools and NPD best practices. Evaluate and approve suppliers and their processes, ensuring that materials and components meet quality standards. Develop and oversee testing protocols, including functional, performance, and reliability testing, to verify that products meet quality requirements. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies related to product quality and safety. Foster a culture of quality and excellence within the organization through effective communication and collaboration.

Key Skills:



Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. Proven experience as an NPI Engineer or in a similar role with a focus on APQP methodologies. Strong understanding of NPD processes and best practices. Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive improvements in product quality and process efficiency. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency in relevant software tools and applications related to NPI and quality planning.
