What you'll be doing
As a Nurse Associate on our 30-bed inpatient ward, you'll play a vital role in supporting patients through their surgical journey-- from pre-admission to discharge. The ward primarily cares for elective orthopaedic patients, with occasional admissions for general surgery and ophthalmology.
You'll be part of a supportive and expert multidisciplinary team, led by our Ward Manager, Kirsten. Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering post-operative care and preparing patients for safe discharge
• Supporting clinical tasks such as venepuncture, cannulation, ECGs, catheterisation, and care of surgical drains
• Collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth ward operations and excellent patient outcome..

What we'll look for in you

• NMC-registered Nursing Associate
• Experience in surgical nursing (orthopaedic training provided if needed)
• Skills in venepuncture, cannulation, ECGs, and catheter care are desirable
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic clinical environment
• Strong team player with a patient-centred approach

We'll also support you in gaining Immediate Life Support (ILS) certification and provide ongoing training to help you grow in your role.
