Duties

Deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients at all times. Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status, including monitoring vital signs and recognising changes in condition. Administer medications accurately and safely, adhering to established protocols and guidelines. Maintain detailed patient records, documenting observations, interventions, and responses to treatment. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventative measures. Uphold infection control standards and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.

Experience

Previous experience in a nursing role is preferred but not essential for newly qualified nurses. Strong knowledge of anatomy is crucial for effective patient assessment and care planning. Proven skills in medication administration, with an understanding of pharmacology principles. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with patients, families, and colleagues. A caring attitude with a focus on delivering empathetic support to patients during their healthcare journey.
