Active Pathways is looking for an experienced and motivated Nursing Team Manager to lead the clinical team at Brookhaven, our specialist residential mental health service with nursing in Preston. This is an exciting opportunity to lead from the front, influence best practice, and play a vital role in creating a positive, person-centred care culture.

Key Responsibilities:




Provide clinical leadership and oversee high-quality nursing care Lead on documentation, risk assessments, and medication management Ensure effective communication across the multidisciplinary team Coordinate My Reviews, CPA processes, admissions, and discharges Support staff development through supervision and mentorship Monitor physical health care and infection prevention standards Conduct clinical audits and drive quality improvements Ensure compliance with CQC standards and internal governance Contribute to recruitment, retention, and a positive team culture Participate in the leadership on-call rota

Essential Criteria:




Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current NMC registration Proven leadership experience in a mental health or complex care setting Strong knowledge of clinical governance, safeguarding, and MDT working Skilled in clinical supervision, coaching, and staff development Confident communicator and effective problem solver
