Nursery Administrator
to join our team. This key role supports the smooth running of our nursery through efficient management of admissions, recruitment, funding processes, and general administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Admissions & Waiting List Management
Respond promptly and warmly to enquiries from prospective families.
Coordinate nursery visits and provide information to parents.
Process applications and support families through the admissions journey.
Maintain accurate admissions records.
Manage and regularly update the nursery waiting list.
Liaise with families regarding availability and waiting list status.
Provide management with reports and trends relating to capacity and admissions.
Funding & Finance Administration
Support the administration of 1140 funding.
Assist with financial tasks such as fee processing and monitoring.
Support ordering and resource purchasing.
Recruitment & HR Support
Assist with advertising vacancies and supporting recruitment campaigns.
Manage applicant communication and interview scheduling.
Support new staff inductions, training coordination, and maintaining HR records.
Support administration for appraisals and staff updates.
General Administration
Manage the nursery inbox and create/maintain email templates.
Maintain accurate staff and child records, ensuring GDPR compliance.
Support updates to the nursery website.
Support nursery events and day-to-day operational tasks.
Ensure alerts and key communications are shared with staff and management.
Support children's settling processes through administrative coordination.
Essential Skills & Experience
Previous administrative experience, ideally within a nursery, school, or childcare environment.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and professional manner.
Proficiency with digital systems such as Google Workplace or similar.
Ability to prioritise workload, use initiative, and work both independently and as part of a team.
High attention to detail and a proactive approach.
