Nursery Administrator Role



We are looking to recruit a full-time office administrator who will support and assist in the smooth running of the Little People Nursery Group office based in Fulham, including working on the opening of a new Fulham location. You would also be responsible for overseeing the nursery's social media presence and website, ensuring both are active, up-to-date and reaching our target demographic.

Typical day-to-day activities would include:

Ensuring nurseries are regularly posting to our social media account, prompting them when necessary to do so, suggesting content, proofreading captions and uploading stories and links which will benefit our parents and followers, as well as promoting and advertising local events.

Fees - Answering fee queries and assisting the accountant to calculate and issue the monthly fees.

Liaising with the office and marketing team about the nursery website, keeping it up-to-date with our monthly newsletters, new blog posts, pictures and articles as well as making suggestions for improvement, proofreading content, and ensuring no broken links, images etc.

Responding to new nursery enquiries, sending parents information regarding fees and availability, and logging information accurately using our management software. Organising nursey open days and private tours.

Recording information on children and staff using our management software system (e.g. personal details, emergency contacts, shift pattern etc.)

Ensuring telephone calls are answered in a professional manner, providing accurate information relating to the nursery, taking messages and redirecting calls to appropriate members of the management team or nursery staff.

Assisting with recruitment, including requesting references, applying for and updating staff DBS, checking right-to-work status, onboarding new members of staff and ensuring they receive nursery policies etc.

Ensuring all statutory trainings are up-to-date, and troubleshooting any errors the staff may be having with their online courses.

Maintaining database of childcare government funding, collecting information, ensuring all documentation is in date and easily accessible.

Supporting nursery managers and staff in creating and printing notices, labels, photos, letters, emails and other documents relating to day-to-day operation.

Performing general administrative duties as and when necessary, offering support to head office when needed.

You would be required to have a good understanding of Microsoft Office and an ability to learn the nursery management software. Experience of office administration, customer service and/or highly desirable.

22 days annual leave, plus bank holidays

Christmas and Easter weeks closed plus 15 days further holiday entitlement.

Salary: 36,000
