Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook for our Nursery and Pre-School kitchen The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and meal preparation. As our Cook, you will play a vital role in maintaining the quality and safety of our kitchen operations while delivering healthy and interesting meals for the toddlers & children at our Nursery & Pre-School, working to our rotating menus.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of snacks & dishes according to established recipes and standards. Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients as required for snacks, lunch and dinner service. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and efficient workflow during busy periods. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.

Experience

Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A passion for cooking and creating delicious healthy meals & snacks for children

Pay: 12.65-12.92 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week

8 hour shift Day shift No weekends
