Dottie Tots Nursery School in Bentley is a warm, nurturing and child-centred nursery providing high-quality early years education and care. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive environment for both children and staff, where learning, curiosity and wellbeing come first.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Early Years Apprentice to join our friendly team and begin their career in childcare while working towards a recognised early years qualification.

The Role

As an Early Years Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced practitioners to support children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You will gain hands-on experience while completing your apprenticeship training.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with young children and eager to learn and grow within the early years sector.

Key Responsibilities

Support the daily care, learning and development of children aged 0-4 Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment Assist with planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS Observe children's development and contribute to learning records Support children with personal care routines (including meals, toileting and hygiene) Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues Follow all safeguarding, health & safety and nursery policies Work towards completing your apprenticeship qualification and coursework
What We're Looking For

Essential:

A genuine interest in working with young children A positive, caring and reliable attitude Willingness to learn and develop new skills Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to follow guidance and take initiative

Desirable (but not essential):

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths Some experience with children (formal or informal)
