Here at Small Talk Nurseries, Handsworth are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to undertake either their Level 2 or their Level 3 on the apprenticeship framework. Training contributions will be funded by the nursery and all training will be provided on-site.

Responsibilities



Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote children's learning and development. Support the management of daily nursery routines, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for all children. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication. Observe and record children's progress, providing feedback to senior staff as necessary. Help maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery setting. Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance personal development and nursery practices.

Requirements



Previous experience with children is desirable, particularly in a nursery or childcare setting. A background in early childhood education or related fields is advantageous. Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with children, parents, and staff. Demonstrated leadership qualities and management skills are beneficial for supporting team dynamics. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel if required for nursery activities. Interview Process steps:

Face to face Interview Work Trial
This role is full time working between 36-40 hours a week. This role is an apprenticeship which will be on the apprentice wage which is 7.55ph.

We are committed to safeguarding, protecting children, young people and adults. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS and 2 satisfactory references. Due to the nature of the work, we will require an additional criminal records check (or checks if more than one country) for anyone who has lived or worked abroad.
