Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education and looking to gain hands-on experience in a nurturing environment. As an Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced practitioners, supporting the care and development of children in our nursery setting while pursuing relevant qualifications.

Responsibilities

Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote children's learning and development. Support the daily care routines of children, including feeding, changing, and ensuring their overall wellbeing. Observe and record children's progress, contributing to individual learning plans. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children. Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of care and education. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development and wellbeing. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills.

Skills

A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to work as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required. Basic understanding of child development principles (desirable). Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards learning. Willingness to undertake training and gain relevant qualifications in childcare.

Part time - 30 hours between 7am and 6pm

Full time 37 hours per week 7am and 6pm

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour
