We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. This paid apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about childcare and child development to gain practical experience within a supportive environment. Duties
Assist qualified nursery practitioners in delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities for children.
Support children's social, emotional, and developmental needs through caring interactions.
Help organise daily routines, including playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods.
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children at all times.
Observe and record children's progress, behaviours, and interests to inform future planning.
Support with administrative tasks such as preparing learning materials and maintaining records.
Communicate effectively with children, colleagues, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare.
Assist with transportation duties if required, including driving children or staff members when necessary.
Qualifications
Experience working with children or in childcare settings is desirable but not essential; enthusiasm for early childhood education is key.
Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to interact positively with children and team members.
Organisational skills to support daily routines and activities efficiently.
Leadership qualities with an interest in developing management skills within a nursery environment.
Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and a caring attitude towards young children.
Valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties but not mandatory at the outset; training can be provided if necessary.
