Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education and eager to gain hands-on experience in a nursery setting. As an Apprentice, you will support the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. You will work closely with experienced practitioners to develop your skills in childcare management and leadership.

Duties

Assist in planning and implementing educational activities that promote children's development and learning. Support the daily care routines of children, including feeding, changing, and supervising playtime. Foster positive relationships with children and their families, ensuring effective communication at all times. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment that adheres to health and safety regulations. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance your knowledge of early childhood education practices. Collaborate with colleagues to create engaging learning experiences tailored to the needs of each child. Document children's progress and contribute to assessments as required.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential; enthusiasm for childcare is key. A background in early childhood education or nursery experience is advantageous. Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with children, parents, and staff. Demonstrated leadership potential and management skills are beneficial for career progression within the nursery setting. A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn new skills in childcare practices.
