Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. This paid apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity to develop management and leadership skills while gaining practical experience working with children in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childcare, strong communication skills, and a desire to grow within the early years sector.

Duties

Assist qualified nursery staff in delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities for children Support the supervision and care of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Help organise daily routines, including meal times, play sessions, and rest periods Contribute to creating a welcoming and stimulating environment that promotes learning and development Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery area in accordance with health and safety standards Support with administrative tasks related to children's records and activity planning Participate in ongoing training programmes to enhance childcare knowledge and skills

Skills

Strong interest in early childhood education Experience with children or in childcare settings is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is key Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when necessary Good organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently Compassionate approach towards children's individual needs and development stages Basic understanding of nursery experience or early childhood education principles preferred

you must have acheive a level 4 in maths and english or have completed a level 2 functional skills course

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: 7.55 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
