Job Description
We are looking for an Early Years Apprentice. We have a busy nursery based in Sherborne and care for between 50-100 children per day. You will be working across the nursery, but will have a main placement with one age group.
You will team up with a training provider of your choice to complete your Level 2 or Level 3 (ideally) in Early Years Education.
The Apprenticeship will run for approximately 12-18 months, and you will be given training and guidance, plus time to complete your apprenticeship.
You may not have a large amount of experience in childcare already, but you will already have enough to know that this is the right career for you. You might have been working as a volunteer, or have an interest in helping children to have a happy childhood, you might have done a lot of babysitting or other informal childcare and know that you want to do more.
We will work with you to ensure that you are supported throughout your qualification. What we are looking for is someone who is energetic and full of fun, someone who is sparkly and wants to play and who is eager to learn as they go. Also, someone who doesn't mind getting a bit messy and muddy!
You will need to be able to communicate effectively, meet deadlines for your college work, show initiative and creativity, and be adaptable to change.
