The Apprentice Nursery Practitioner plays a vital role in supporting the development and care of children within a nursery setting. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and are eager to learn and grow in a nurturing environment. As an apprentice, you will work closely with experienced practitioners, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to the daily activities and routines of the nursery.

Duties

Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote children's learning and development. Support the daily care routines of children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and happiness. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive nursery environment. Manage small groups of children during activities, encouraging participation and cooperation. Observe and record children's progress, providing feedback to senior practitioners as required. Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating nursery environment that meets health and safety standards. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance your professional development.

Skills

A genuine interest in early childhood education and childcare. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and team members. Ability to manage groups of children with patience and enthusiasm. Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is beneficial but not essential. Leadership qualities that inspire confidence in young learners. Proficiency in English for clear communication both verbally and in writing.
