We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities within the nursery. This position requires effective communication skills, the ability to manage and engage with children, and a commitment to fostering a nurturing environment that promotes early childhood education.
The role is a key person role, for a small group of children
The hours are 36 per week on a rotating shift of 8-4 and 10-6 one week of each alternate
The applicants should have experience of working with children from age 1 year and be able to record keep and plan for learning
A level 2 is preferable but if they are good with experience then we would still consider them
Responsibilities
Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities that promote children's development.
Provide care and support to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships.
Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions.
Support children's learning through play-based activities that encourage creativity and exploration.
Maintain a clean and organised nursery environment, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use.
Observe and record children's progress, providing feedback to senior staff as required.
Collaborate with other staff members to create a welcoming atmosphere for families.
