We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and the ability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring that children receive high-quality care and education while fostering their development and well-being.
Duties
Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Support children in their daily routines, including meals, playtime, and rest periods.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships and ensure a collaborative approach to childcare.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment for children to explore and learn.
Observe and record children's progress, providing feedback to senior staff as necessary.
Manage behaviour in a positive manner, promoting respect and understanding among children.
Drive initiatives that enhance children's social skills, creativity, and physical development.
Requirements
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is preferred.
A qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is advantageous but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English are required to effectively interact with children and parents.
Leadership qualities to inspire confidence in children while managing group dynamics.
Ability to work as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
A genuine love for working with young children and an understanding of their developmental needs.
Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances within the nursery environment.
