Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children.

Duties

Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities that promote children's development. Supervise children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Communicate effectively with children, fostering an engaging and supportive atmosphere. Support the lead nursery staff in managing daily routines and activities. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery environment. Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive learning experience for all children. Engage with parents and guardians to provide updates on children's progress and activities.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 or above Childcare Qualification. Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is preferred. A background in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is advantageous. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development. Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the nursery experience for both children and staff. Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances within the nursery environment.
