Early Years Nursery Assistant

Salary: 20,800 - 25,396.80 per annum based on a 40 hour week and NMW.




Hours: 36 - 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, All year round




The Clapham Day Nursery and Pre-school is located in a quite cul-de-sac in Peardon Street and is in 3 storey building.

As Nursery Assistant, you will:




Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor always Understand the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS and staff: child ratios Provide engaging and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and cover all children daily when colleagues are absent Observe and support children's development, update the EyLog system and children's learning journals with accuracy and relevance, and seek guidance from colleagues or Room Leader if in doubt Provide the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development

What We're Looking For:




Fluent in spoken and written English 1+ year of Early Years experience - desirable Knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding - desirable
