We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of young children, fostering a safe and nurturing environment that promotes learning and growth.

Responsibilities

Assist in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that stimulate children's development. Support the lead nursery teacher in managing daily routines and ensuring the safety of all children. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to promote a positive nursery experience. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery environment, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use. Observe and record children's progress, providing feedback to parents and colleagues as necessary. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional development. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall success of the nursery.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is highly desirable. A background in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine drive to support children's learning and development. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required. Knowledge of childcare best practices and child development principles is an advantage.
