Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a strong understanding in Early Years. As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children. Your role will involve engaging with children, assisting in their development, and collaborating with other staff members to provide high-quality childcare.

Responsibilities

Assist in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being. Maintaining a clean, organised environment. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships. Observe and monitor children's progress, providing feedback to senior staff as needed. Help maintain records of children's development and any incidents that may occur. Drive initiatives that encourage children's social skills and emotional growth through play-based learning.

Requirements

Previous experience in childcare is preferred. Must be available Monday - Friday from 7:30-6pm as shifts will change weekly. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for working with young children and understanding their developmental needs. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required. A valid driving licence would be great but not essential A commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children.
