Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for working with children and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring that children receive high-quality care and early education.

Duties

Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote children's development and learning. Support the lead nursery staff in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children. Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships. Help with daily routines such as feeding, changing, and cleaning up after activities. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and any incidents that occur during nursery hours. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.

Skills

Strong management and leadership abilities to guide children effectively. Experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is highly desirable. Knowledge of early childhood education principles to support child development. Excellent communication skills in English to interact with children, parents, and team members. A valid driving licence may be advantageous for transportation purposes. A nurturing attitude combined with patience and understanding towards children's needs.
