Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Assistant to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood development and committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. Contract initially offered from January-April with a strong possibility of extending the contract. To be further discussed on interviews.

Duties

Support the daily care and supervision of children in the nursery setting Assist in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment for children and staff Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and children to foster positive relationships Support children's emotional needs and encourage their independence Following safeguarding policies and procedures at all times Work across all age ranges from 0-5 years Supporting keyworkers and SENCO

Experience

Previous nursery or childcare experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates Experience with children, including early childhood education or childcare roles, is highly valued Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.38-15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 27.5 per week
