We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and will play a vital role in creating a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment for our nursery attendees. This position requires strong communication skills, a background in childcare, and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members to support the development of children in our care.
Duties
Assist in the daily care and supervision of children within the nursery setting.
Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment for children to explore and learn.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and daily activities.
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a consistent approach to childcare practices.
Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities as required.
Help manage behaviour by using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage good conduct among children.
Qualifications
Previous experience working with children is essential; nursery experience is highly desirable.
A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications would be an advantage.
Strong management and leadership skills to effectively guide children in their activities.
Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English, to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
