Baby Room Leader
who can bring warmth, creativity, and strong leadership to our youngest children and their families.
About the Role:
As our Baby Room Leader, you'll take the lead in creating a safe, stimulating, and loving space for babies aged 0-2 years. You'll work closely with a small team of dedicated practitioners to plan rich learning experiences tailored to each child's unique needs and developmental stage. You'll be a role model for best practice in care and education and will help shape a room where every baby feels secure, valued, and curious about the world.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the day-to-day running of our Baby Room with care, confidence, and a child-centred approach
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support early development
Observe and assess each baby's progress, ensuring their needs are met with tailored care and learning
Build strong, trusting relationships with families through regular communication and partnership
Foster a calm, organised, and hygienic environment where babies thrive
Support your team with positivity and clarity, encouraging professional development and teamwork
Promote emotional wellbeing, attachment, and a sense of belonging for every child
What We're Looking For:
A Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education
Proven experience working with babies in a nursery or childcare setting
Confident leadership skills and experience managing or mentoring a team
Excellent communication skills with both parents and colleagues
A deep understanding of the EYFS and child development in the earliest years
A calm, patient, and caring nature, with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative
