We are recruiting for an experienced Catering Manager at our beautiful setting in

Flax Bourton.

About the role

As the Catering Manager you will be responsible for the management and cooking of everything food related ! You will have awareness of allergens and will remain vigilant to every dish ensuring each child's health and dietary requirements are safeguarded in this regard. You will supervise an additional staff member.

In addition, you will also need to demonstrate the following qualities:

To ensure responsibility for the effective daily management of the nursery kitchen alongside the Early Years Manager and to have a sound knowledge of all Company policies & procedures. Willingness' to support colleagues within the nurseries' care and education provision. To assist in the participation and preparation of planned cooking activities with children when required. Ensure all Safer Food Better Business paperwork is completed correctly. Keep accurate records of supplies and order replacements as needed within the nursery budget requirements. Prepare blogs on healthy eating with children, support parents with healthy recipes. To collaborate with the other Catering Managers & management of the Nurseries to plan seasonal menus Be able to prepare and cook healthy, nutritious meals To support the Early Years Manager to ensure that safeguarding procedures are followed in line with Local Authority and Company procedures. Taking responsibility for working in line with regulatory requirements and Red Bus Childcare policies and procedures to develop the strength and reputation of the Company.

What We're Looking For

Extensive experience running a kitchen environment (nursery/school setting a bonus)

Understanding of dietary needs, allergens, and food hygiene practices

Flexible, reliable and proactive with a positive can-do attitude

Strong organisational and time-management skills

Food Hygiene Level 2 certification

Passionate about promoting healthy eating in early years
