We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic

Nursery Chef

About the Role:

As our Nursery Chef, you'll be responsible for preparing and serving healthy, balanced meals and snacks for children aged 0-5 years, following dietary guidelines and accommodating allergies or special requirements. You'll also manage kitchen hygiene, stock control, and work to ensure food safety standards are always met.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and prepare daily meals and snacks in line with our menus and children's dietary needs Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment (in line with Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations) Manage food stocks and place orders as needed Keep accurate records of food temperatures, cleaning, and allergens Work closely with the Nursery Manager and team to ensure mealtimes are a positive experience for all children
About You:

Experience of cooking in a professional setting (nursery, school, or care environment preferred) A good understanding of children's nutrition and portion sizes A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain one) Organised, reliable, and passionate about healthy eating Able to work independently and as part of a friendly team
