Get Your Halo Ready! We're Hiring a Nursery Chef at Little Angels!

Are you an angel in disguise, looking to spread some heavenly light to our team of children and staff? Do you have a knack for making miracles happen with food and bringing smiles to little faces? Are you a champion for your team? If so, you might just be our next Nursery Chef at Little Angels!

We're looking for a Nursery Chef who will model and champion our company's core values.

Salary FTE 25K - 28K depending on experience

To start as soon as possible

Based in Bedlington but must be able to drive to other sites when needed

Hours will be 25 - 35 hours a week (between 8am and 5pm). Term time only work may be considered for this role.

Highly subsidised childcare

To prepare nutritionally balanced meals for nursery children and babies

To model great cooking activities to staff working with the children

Job requirements

Level 3 equivalent in catering management

Food Hygiene certificates at level 3 minimum

Experience of working in a school or nursery/care setting

A clear DBS check as this role involves working with children

This is not the role for you if:

You're happy to watch the clock and wait for 'home time' You're happy to leave your kitchen without a thought for the next day A "cooking activity" is a bowl in the middle of the table that the children just watch You won't wear 'dress up' with pride on dress up days (considering kitchen hygiene rules!) You don't value the importance of nutrition for young children's development You don't appreciate feedback from our mini food critics! You're not able to sing "Star of the Table" at mealtimes to praise the children's table manners
Please note, knowledge of Frozen, Minions, Marvel superheroes, Disney Princesses and Peppa Pig is essential.

To be a nursery chef in our amazing company, we will also need you to have excellent organisational skills, to be a whizz with your knives and the ability to prioritise.

You will demonstrate unwavering commitment to our children and their families, to our company and its objectives, and to the people you manage and empower to achieve.
