We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in food preparation and production, with a flair for creativity and innovation in the kitchen. As a Nursery Chef, you will play a crucial role in preparing, cooking and serving food to all out little children, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
Work as part of a team in a job share role.
Manage food inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.
Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus.
Assist in training new team members on kitchen procedures and best practices.
Skills
Love for cooking.
Some culinary skills preferred with an understanding of food preparation techniques.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Enjoy working with young children.
Full DBS check needed and food hygiene certificate.
