We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our new and growing nursery team. You will be responsible for the daily operation of our purpose-built kitchen, delivering high-quality, nutritious meals to children.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to lead the kitchen, help shape our menus, and play a key role in supporting children's health and wellbeing in a warm, caring environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the kitchen in all aspects of food preparation
Create and develop seasonal, child-friendly menus with the leadership team
Cater for all allergies, dietary requirements, and cultural preferences
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen
Manage kitchen budgets in collaboration with management
Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, food hygiene, and health & safety standards
Your Skills
Strong communication skills to work effectively with the wider nursery team
Excellent organisation and time management
In-depth knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and allergy protocols
Ability to create bespoke, nutritious menus with children's needs in mind
Professional, calm, and confident when working in a fast-paced environment
