The ideal candidate must have:

Has a passion for cooking! Has some understanding of environmental health standards Shares our passion for encouraging children to eat healthily Ability to use initiative Has a Level 3 Qualification in Food Safety (or is willing to work towards)

Key Responsibilities

The role of the Nursery Chef is to prepare and cook the Company Menu in line with company policy whilst maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and compliance with the Food Standards Agency. To achieve 5 Environmental Health Inspections.
Dealing with allergens Reporting to management

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

? Demonstrable experience of managing a kitchen, ideally within a nursery or school environment who caters for children ? A working knowledge of health and safety within a childcare environment, how to risk assess and take action to reduce potential for accidents/injury ? A detailed understanding of the Safer Food, Better Business procedures and standards.
