Summary

We are seeking a passionate Chef to join our team at "Susana's Home from Home" in . This role is vital in ensuring the preparation of nutritious meals that support the health and well-being of the children in our care. The ideal candidate will bring culinary expertise and a caring attitude to our vibrant nursery environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook healthy, balanced meals tailored to children's dietary needs. Manage food production processes ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Supervise kitchen activities and maintain cleanliness and hygiene. Collaborate with staff to plan menus that promote nutrition and variety. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times. Manage kitchen inventory and order supplies as needed. Lead by example in maintaining a safe and organized kitchen environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably within a childcare or educational setting. Strong knowledge of food safety standards. Excellent team management and supervisory skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards. Good communication skills to collaborate with staff and caregivers. Previous kitchen or culinary experience is essential. Leadership qualities with a caring approach towards children's well-being is advantageous.
