Responsibilities
Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Oversee food safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen
Manage food inventory, order supplies, and control waste to optimise resources
Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
Maintain a organised kitchen environment conducive to high-quality food preparation and safety compliance
Experience
Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen or restaurant setting
Extensive background in food production, cooking, and culinary arts
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
Experience in hospitality or restaurant environments with a focus on serving customers efficiently
Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
Previous experience in menu development, food presentation, and managing kitchen operations is highly desirable
