An established independent school in London is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join its Nursery team. About the Role

Working alongside the class teacher, you will support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum, contribute to daily routines, and provide nurturing, hands-on support to individual children and small groups. The role is ideal for an early years professional who thrives in a collaborative, child-centred setting.

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

Key Responsibilities

Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate EYFS activities Assist with preparing and organising classroom resources and learning spaces Provide tailored support for individual children and small groups Promote children's independence, confidence and social skills through play and structured activities Assist with personal care routines, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment Contribute to observations and assessments to inform planning Communicate positively and professionally with children, colleagues and parents Adhere to all safeguarding and health & safety procedures

About You

Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, Early Years Education or equivalent (essential) Experience working with children aged 2-5 in a nursery or school setting Solid understanding of the EYFS framework and child development Warm, patient and supportive, with a genuine passion for early years education Strong communication and teamwork skills First Aid and Safeguarding training desirable (training can be provided)
