Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Nursery Cook and driver. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills within a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be involved in various aspects of food preparation and service, contributing to delivering high-quality dining experiences. Prior experience in kitchens or restaurants is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. It will also involve helping the nursery team with school pick up and drops, this requires a driving license and using your own car.

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation, including chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients Cook and assemble dishes according to specified recipes and standards Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations Prepare ingredients and components for meal service, ensuring timely delivery during busy periods Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment Serve meals to customers in a courteous and professional manner when required Support the team during peak hours by managing multiple tasks efficiently support the nursery team completing pick up and drop off's to local schools

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, is desirable but not mandatory Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous Experience with meal preparation and kitchen operations will be beneficial Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential Enthusiasm for learning new culinary techniques and developing professional skills

Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour
