As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional meals to our guests while ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Assist in the planning and preparation of meals, including daily specials and seasonal menus.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.
Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or similar environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
A passion for cooking and creativity in meal presentation.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
