Assistant Cook- St Saviour's School - Walthamstow - London -

40 hours per week

44 week contract

44 weeks worked - 2 weeks holiday over Christmas as Nursery is closed with the remainder 6 weeks to be taken off during term time only

Candidate needs to have cooking experience, be able to cook from recipes and special dietary menus.

Work alongside the Chef Manager during term time and alone with a GA during School Holidays for Nursery.

Duties: - Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards- Oversee and assist kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking- Ensure proper portion control and presentation of dishes- Monitor food quality and taste for consistency- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines- Collaborate with the chef to develop new menu itemsQualifications: - Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar setting - Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Excellent communication and leadership skills - Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures - Ability to work well in a team environmentIf you have a passion for cooking, possess strong leadership skills, and enjoy working in a dynamic kitchen environment, we would love to hear from you.
