Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus.
Ensure all food preparation meets health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen.
Assist in the planning of menus, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.
Help with inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during busy periods.
Monitor food quality throughout the cooking process, making adjustments as necessary.
Maintain kitchen equipment and utensils, ensuring they are clean and in good working order.
Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
Excellent culinary skills with the ability to prepare diverse dishes.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
