Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Deputy Manager to join our nursery team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the management of daily operations while ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to early childhood education.

Duties

Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations and staff management. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of childcare. Develop and implement educational programmes that promote children's development and learning. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to create a supportive community. Manage staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations to ensure effective team functioning. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise. Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's reputation and encourage community engagement. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment that meets the needs of all children in care.

Requirements

Proven experience in a childcare setting or early childhood education is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for working with children and understanding their developmental needs. Ability to drive initiatives that promote positive outcomes for children. Experience in managing staff and fostering teamwork within a nursery environment is advantageous. A relevant qualification in early childhood education or childcare would be beneficial but not mandatory.
