Deputy Nursery Manager
to join our team and help lead our warm, welcoming, and high-quality early years setting.

About the Role:
As Deputy Manager, you'll work closely with the Nursery Manager to help oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery. You will play a key part in ensuring the highest standards of care, learning, and safety are maintained, while also supporting and mentoring staff to deliver excellent early years practice.
You'll step into a leadership role, acting as Manager in their absence, and will help ensure the nursery remains a nurturing, fun, and stimulating environment for all children.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Nursery Manager in the effective daily operation of the setting.
Ensure all statutory and regulatory requirements are met, including safeguarding, health & safety, and EYFS standards.
Lead by example, modelling excellent early years practice and supporting staff development.
Contribute to planning, observations, and assessments to support individual children's development.
Take an active role in team meetings, supervisions, and training initiatives.
Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Provide leadership and support across the setting and take on management responsibilities when the Nursery Manager is absent.
What We're Looking For:
A recognised Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years/Childcare (essential).
Previous experience in a senior role within a nursery or early years setting.
A sound understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding responsibilities.
A friendly, professional manner with strong communication and organisational skills.
A team player who is passionate about supporting young children's learning and development.
