About the Role:

As our Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery. You'll be a key figure in supporting both the care and education of our children, and in developing a motivated, high-performing team.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Support the Nursery Manager in all operational aspects of running the nursery Take the lead in the absence of the Manager Ensure all OFSTED and statutory requirements are met Drive and maintain high occupancy levels through effective parent engagement and supporting with marketing strategies Support and mentor staff, helping them grow through on-the-job guidance and formal training Conduct regular staff supervisions and performance reviews Work directly with children, modelling outstanding practice and forming secure relationships Contribute to curriculum planning and the delivery of engaging, high-quality early years education Ensure all safeguarding, health and safety, and compliance standards are consistently met Foster strong partnerships with parents and the wider community Help create a warm, welcoming environment where children, families and staff thrive
About You

Level 3 or above in Early Years Education (or equivalent) - essential Previous experience in a leadership role within a nursery setting Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, and health and safety A team player with excellent communication and organisational skills Passionate about delivering outstanding care and education Confident in supporting, mentoring and inspiring staff
