Based in Cheadle Hulme, Manchester, we have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Nursery Manager to join our busy nursery. As the Nursery Deputy Manager you will be working directly with the Nursery Manager on the day to day running of the Nursery. Being a role model and representing the Nursery at a high standard. You will also be overseeing and supporting other members of the team.

Requirements of the Deputy Nursery Manger -

Minimum 3 years' post qualification experience Previous Room Leader or Deputy experience in a Nursery Setting Minimum Level 3 early years qualification or equivalent Thorough understanding and knowledge of legislation including EYFS Empathetic, caring and friendly Experience of SEND

Key Responsibilities of the Deputy Nursery Manager will include:

To oversee the efficient and safe running of the allocated Base Room To ensure that the welfare and safety of children is paramount within the setting and any child protection concerns are always appropriately acted upon immediately. To assist in coordinating rotas To maintain staff child ratios at all times To contribute to the induction process for new and promoted staff To develop strong partnerships with parents, colleagues, children Co-ordination of tasks and responsibilities and the ability to delegate where necessary To assist the manager in setting, implementing and reviewing policies for the nursery.
To ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times.

To ensure the provision of a high-quality environment to meet the needs of individual children, having an awareness of any disabilities, family cultures, and medical histories.

To ensure confidentiality of all information received.

To assist with staff development and training.

To assist the manager in the supervision of training of students and volunteers in placement within the nursery.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 30,000.00-31,000.00 per year
