We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to support the daily operations of our nursery! The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills with a passion for early childhood education and working with children. Clerical skills are essential. The Deputy Manager will work closely with the management team to uphold high standards of care, safety, and educational development.
Responsibilities
Assist the Manager in overseeing daily nursery operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
Support and supervise staff, providing guidance and leadership to maintain a motivated and professional team.
Contribute to planning and implementing educational programmes tailored to children's developmental needs.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff through effective communication and engagement.
Monitor health and safety procedures within the nursery, ensuring a safe environment for all children and staff.
Assist in managing administrative tasks such as record keeping, staff rotas, and resource organisation.
Support recruitment, training, and performance reviews of nursery staff.
Drive organisational initiatives aimed at improving service quality and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Proven experience in childcare settings, preferably within nurseries or early childhood education environments.
Strong management and leadership skills with previous supervisory experience.
Knowledge of child development principles and childcare regulations in the UK.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to work effectively with children, parents, and team members in a professional manner.
Valid driving licence is desirable for organisational flexibility.
Experience working with children with special needs or additional requirements is advantageous.
