Duties
Assist in managing the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
Supervise and support staff in their roles, providing guidance and leadership to enhance team performance.
Develop and implement educational programmes that meet the needs of children in accordance with early childhood education standards.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to childcare and early years education.
Drive initiatives that promote children's development through engaging activities and learning experiences.
Help to ensure that the nursery meets the requirements of the EYFS and OFSTED
Manage administrative tasks as required, including record keeping and reporting.
About You
Have previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
Be qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 or higher with
experience
of running similar setting.
A background in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable.
Proven leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to manage a team effectively.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Have experience of OFSTED inspections, excellent knowledge of the EYFS and an up-to-date references are essential for this role.
Experience of SENCO is essential.
A genuine passion for childcare and the development of young children is a must.
