Summary
We are seeking a Deputy Manager to join our dynamic team at Richborough Nursery. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the daily operations of our nursery, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for children while promoting their growth and development.
Responsibilities:
Promoting high-quality care through positive role modelling, implementing effective assessment and planning processes and continuous reflective practice
Support the nursery manager in the day-to-day operations and overall management of the nursery
Step in as acting manager in the absence of the nursery manager.
Lead, motivate and support the nursery team; fostering a positive, collaborative and productive work environment.
Ensure compliance with Ofsted, EYFS and Safeguarding by implementing and upholding the nursery's policies and procedures.
Support the professional development of practitioners through regular training, mentoring and supervision meetings and appraisals.
Build and maintain positive relationships with parents and carers.
Assist with scheduling, staffing rotas and other administrative tasks.
Supporting rooms to adhere to the statutory ratio requirements.
Requirements
Experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting is essential.
Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Proven leadership abilities with experience managing teams effectively.
A passion for childcare and commitment to children's development.
