Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate part-time nursery deputy manager to lead our nursery team and ensure a nurturing and safe environment for children in our home-from-home setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and childcare, demonstrating exceptional leadership and communication skills. As the Nursery Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and fostering positive relationships with children and their families when the manager is not on site.

Responsibilities

Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Lead, mentor, and support nursery staff in delivering high-quality care and education. Develop and implement engaging educational programs that promote children's learning and development. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to build strong partnerships and address any concerns. Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and incidents as required by regulatory bodies. Support staff training sessions to ensure continuous professional development.

Requirements

3 Years minimum deputy manager experience in early years. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for working with children and understanding their needs. Ability to drive initiatives that promote a positive learning environment. Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare are preferred. Have knowledge and be able to communicate with local authorities and outside agencies. SENCO and DSL leads.
