We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Deputy Manager
to join our nursery team in SE9. In this role, you will support the Nursery Manager in leading the team, ensuring high standards of care, and delivering outstanding early years education in a safe and nurturing environment.Key Responsibilities
Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery Lead and mentor nursery practitioners, ensuring excellent care and education Oversee planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities following the EYFS framework Monitor, observe, and assess children's development Ensure all safeguarding, health, and safety standards are maintained Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Requirements
Level 3 childcare qualification (essential) Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within early years settings Strong understanding of EYFS, child development, and safeguarding procedures Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills Professional, caring, and approachable manner
