We need your support within our management team:
Being the role model an Early Years Practitioner dreams about
Collaborate in the da-to-day running of the nursery
Participate on managerial tasks
Leading and developing the nurseries involvement in different initiatives
Deputising the Nursery Manager role in their absence
You will need to be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude along with excellent communication skills. The ability to build strong, supportive relationships with children, parents and staff is also vital. You must also be patient, empathetic, caring and friendly.
Key Responsibilities
Support the staff team to create bespoke teaching opportunities for children
Help maintain high quality learning environments
Implement and maintain strategic targets to help develop the nursery and individuals
Provide families support and learning opportunities
Help the team support the families with their child's learning
Act as a key person
Carry out observations, assessments and planning for key children and support the staff team with their key children
Promote a high standard of quality within the nursery, including practice, environment and resources to meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage
Support the transition of children into the nursery and to school
Build positive relationships with children, their families and colleagues
Support room leaders to the staff working in their room with their own personal development and their teams
Develop and maintain professional working relationships with relevant external agencies where appropriate
Ensure that all children are kept safe and that staff are confident to follow safeguarding procedures
Monitor rota's and routines of the nursery
Adhere to all company policies and procedures and ensure they are also adhered to by all staff
In conjunction with the management team identify, address and support in individual training needs and self-development such as supervisions and appraisals
Qualifications and Skills
1+ years of Nursery Deputy Manager experience (Preferred)
2+ years of Nursery experience (Preferred)
Level 3 Early Years/Childcare Diploma (full and relevant)
Knowledge of OFSTED standards
Excellent knowledge of the EYFS
Good time management skills
Excellent communication skills
Strong people management skills
Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities / SENCO etc.
