Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Deputy Manager to support the daily operations of our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a background in early childhood education. This role involves working closely with children, staff, and parents to ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children in our care.

Duties

Assist the Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards. Provide leadership and support to staff, fostering a positive team environment. Engage with children through play and educational activities, promoting their development and wellbeing. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise. Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, development milestones, and incidents as required. Ensure the nursery is a safe environment by adhering to health and safety policies. Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate programmes that meet the needs of all children. Drive initiatives to enhance the quality of care provided within the nursery.

Requirements

Proven experience in management or leadership roles within a childcare setting. Background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications in childcare. Experience working with children, demonstrating a genuine passion for their development. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to drive is preferred for transporting children or materials as needed. Knowledge of nursery practices and regulations is advantageous.
